Roar! Photographer David Lloyd has captured the epic drama of African wildlife with his series of black and white photos.

Lloyd told The Daily that when it comes to being face to face with a lion, there’s no substitute for the real thing. “There’s nothing so intense as a [wild] lion looking right at you. Zoo lions just cannot replicate that same look.” For more images, visit Lloyd’s website.
